Author materials

Read preparation guidelines online

The following formatting recommendations for PEMS 2026 are based on examples in the 2025 proceedings. The suggested length is a recommendation rather than a strict limit.

File and page setup

  • Submit an editable DOCX file. An additional PDF may be included to check the layout; it does not replace the editable file.
  • Suggested length: 2–4 pages including figures, tables and references. Contact the organisers if a different length is needed.
  • Language: Ukrainian or English. A4 portrait, single column. Margins: left 25 mm, right 15 mm, top and bottom 20 mm.
  • Body text: Times New Roman, 12 pt; single line spacing; justified alignment; first-line indent 10 mm; no spacing before or after paragraphs.

Abstract structure

  • UDC on a separate left-aligned line. Then provide author surnames and initials, degrees and titles where relevant, ORCID if available, full institutional affiliations, city, country and the corresponding author’s email.
  • Title: uppercase, bold, centred, 14 pt. Leave a blank line before and after the title.
  • Suggested sections: Introduction; Purpose; Materials and research results; Conclusions; References. Section labels: bold, 12 pt. This template does not require a separate summary or keywords.

Figures, tables, equations and references

  • Place figures and tables after their first mention in the text. Number them consecutively. Put figure captions below figures and table titles above tables. Labels must remain legible on an A4 page.
  • Create editable Word tables and use an equation editor rather than screenshots. Define symbols and provide measurement units.
  • Cite sources in square brackets [1]. Number references in order of first mention and include authors, title, year, publication details and DOI or URL where available. A 10 pt font may be used for references.
  • Present your own results and acknowledge borrowed data, text and illustrations. Obtain all co-authors’ agreement before submission.

How to submit

  • Submit your DOCX through Google Forms at https://forms.gle/tWXabTSi9mvoT7r67 by 1 December 2026. Google sign-in is required. Filename: PEMS2026_Surname.docx.
  • In the form, provide the title, conference topic, authors, affiliations and correspondence email. If you have difficulty using the form, email your materials to pems@kpi.ua with the subject “PEMS 2026 — abstract — Surname”. Notification of acceptance: 7 December 2026.
  • The programme and online participation link will be published separately. Journal submissions to “Energy: Economics, Technology, Ecology” follow the journal’s separate guidelines.
